Tabakov`s anniversary lasted for 70 days
On Saturday in the Moscow Arts Theatre in the name of Chehov the immense celebration took place.
In August 17 Oleg Tabakov started to celebrate his anniversary - 70 years. His holiday has lasted over 70 days. Saturday was the last day of celebration.
As the audience say the last anniversary evening was the best of all the celebrations. The point is that it was well-organized and unusual. The main thing was that Tabakov didn?t appear for the whole evening.
A lot of famous people came to congratulate him. The mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov addressed to his picture hanging on the stage. The chief of Culture and Cinema Department Michael Shvidkov congratulated Tabakov?s arm-chair. But the famous actor still didn?t come out.
The head of the Cinematographer Union Nikita Michalkov declared "Tabakov is cinema". He acted in 127 films. Representatives of MHAT added that "Tabakov is theatre".
A lot of famous people took part in the jubilee evening: Ludmila Gurchenko, Michael Porechnekov and Konstantin Habensky made a performance playing as women. Tabakov?s family members made a declaration of love: his wife Marina Zudina and their son Pavel.
But nobody saw Tabakov. The evening was coming to an end when the famous actor appeared himself. The audience applauded standing.
